whiteness (especially middle- and upper-class variants), along with being the cause of vast amounts of oppression and destruction, is also an acute disservice to those within it. since by definition it must be the norm, the general, all that identify with it or are identified within it are robbed of the joy of specificity.
to be a specific part of the world, of society, of culture. without having to constantly expand / demand / hold on to your perceived norm status, your superiority (explicit or implicit, it doesn’t matter), while simultaneously becoming empty of everything that makes life interesting.
